This course introduces the fundamentals of litigation strategy and how cases are approached, structured, and executed. Students will learn how to analyze a case beyond surface-level facts, identify key weaknesses, and understand how timing, positioning, and procedure influence outcomes.
Building on foundational knowledge, this course explores how arguments are developed, how the record is used strategically, and how different stages of a case create opportunities or risks. It also introduces core concepts such as burden of proof, procedural leverage, and strategic decision-making.
By the end of this course, students will begin thinking in terms of structure and strategy rather than reaction, developing the ability to approach cases with clarity and purpose.
